	BATTLE ALERT! MISSION STATUS: USMC ADVANCE vs. NVA DELAY

	To the USMC Marine Corps D1-B4-C1-P5-S1	


Yesterday, NVA took an important airfield from our lightly armed base personnel, as the South
Vietnamnese units guarding them defected and deserted near Tan Son Nhut.
	
We can and will not allow our precious war material at the airbase to fall into the dink hands! 

Immediately assembly your elite USMC Squad to secure the most important assets (NE of your LZ,
at the hangar buildings and around them in immediate vicinity).

After the base is secure, advance to the bridge NW of your LZ and hold it until further instructed!

Intel reports you'll meet motorized NVA infantry, possibly even light armour. They should not be
a tough cookie for your LAWs to crack.

USNAF, USAAF, and Air Cav will provide support for you. There is also some Australian SAS hush-hush
operation going on on your right flank originating from the Bac Lieu Aussie listening post. They may
also send vehicles to aid you if the terrain permits their passage.
